What this site collects

Google Analytics 4 records page views. Microsoft Clarity records how readers use pages and the map. Cloudflare processes request data so it can deliver and protect the site. If you send an email, the message and your address reach the inbox that handles it. The map's found markers and the launch checklist are stored in your browser. They are not sent to our server. Clarity may still record the page as it appears, including checked boxes and found markers.

There is no account system, comment section, newsletter, upload form, or payment flow. The site does not ask for a name, email address, or payment detail to read a page. It does not sell personal information, share it for advertising, or run advertising tags.

GTA6MAP.GUIDE is an independent project. The person who runs the site decides how the data described here is used and answers privacy requests.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 through the standard Google Analytics tag. The tag loads only after the page opens on the public site.

A page view records the page address, path, and title. Google may also receive the referrer, browser and device type, language, approximate location derived from the request IP, and interactions such as scrolling or outbound clicks if the site is configured to collect them. The site does not send your name, email address, account id, map markers, checklist state, calculator inputs, or anything you type into a form to Google Analytics. It does not set a user ID, connect analytics to a customer record, or use Google Analytics for advertising, remarketing, or audience building. The site does not ask for precise location data, health data, financial data, or government identifiers.

Google uses the request IP to estimate a coarse location and does not store the full IP in Analytics 4. We do not receive the raw IP from Google. Google retains event data according to the retention setting in Google Analytics and its own policies. We do not keep a separate copy of individual analytics events. The site does not use analytics data for automated decisions about you.

Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<container-id>, normally kept for up to two years. The site does not set advertising cookies or login cookies. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the analytics tag is not loaded. You can also block Google's analytics tag with a browser setting or a tracking-protection extension; the guide, map, and checklist keep working. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. It stops Google Analytics from measuring visits in browsers where it is installed.

Google's explanation of how it uses data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Its general privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Microsoft Clarity

The site uses Microsoft Clarity to review how readers use the map and pages. Clarity captures mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and a replay of the session. Microsoft may receive the page address, referrer, browser and device type, language, approximate location, and the interactions you make. We do not send your name, email address, or account id to Clarity. The site has no accounts.

Do not type personal information into the map search or the storage calculator. Clarity can capture text and interactions on the page. It sets first-party cookies named _clck and _clsk, normally kept for one year and one day, and may use Microsoft cookies on its own domains. Microsoft provides Clarity and processes the data under its privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. Microsoft may also use Clarity data for its own purposes as described in that statement. The same Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals that block Google Analytics also block Clarity.

Local storage

The map stores the landmarks you mark as found under the key leonida-found. The launch checklist stores its checked boxes under leonida-launch-checklist. Both values stay in the browser you are using. They are not tied to an account and are not sent to us. Clearing site data, using a private window, or switching browsers removes or separates them.

If your browser blocks local storage, the map and checklist still work for the current visit; they cannot remember the state after a reload. The storage is not used to build a profile, personalize ads, or identify you on another site.

Cloudflare

The site runs on Cloudflare, which provides DNS, caching, and network security. Cloudflare processes request metadata such as the IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, and error information to deliver pages and block abusive traffic. Cloudflare's own privacy policy and retention settings apply to that processing. We do not use those logs to build reader profiles or to sell advertising.

Cloudflare may cache a page for a short time to make repeat visits faster. The cache stores the page response, not your map markers or checklist. Cloudflare's privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Email

If you email a privacy request, correction, or question, we receive your email address, the message, and any attachments you send. We use that information to answer you and to correct the site. We do not add you to a mailing list, sell your address, or use it for advertising. Do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents, or other sensitive information. A correction usually needs only the page address, the sentence that is wrong, and a source we can check.

Retention

Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention setting in Google Analytics and its policies. Microsoft keeps Clarity recordings available for up to 30 days and retains other data under its own policies. Cloudflare retains request data according to its own policy. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the request and keep a record of corrections. Local storage stays until you clear it or your browser removes it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold, to request a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to some uses, or to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Because the site has no accounts, we may need the email address you used and enough detail to find the correspondence you are asking about.

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. The site does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Readers in other US states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights.

We cannot delete data that Google, Microsoft, or Cloudflare holds independently, or change the settings of a store you visited. We can explain what the site sends and point you to the control offered by the provider. Send requests to the address in the contact section below.

International transfers

Google, Microsoft, and Cloudflare operate around the world, so the data described here may be processed outside your country. Those companies use their own transfer mechanisms and safeguards. The site does not maintain a separate database of reader data to transfer. If you email us, the message may be stored in the email service used to receive it.

Children

The site is a guide to a mature-rated game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The site has no account system, no comments, and no place for a child to submit a profile. If you believe a child has sent personal information by email, contact us and we will delete the message.

Changes

This page may change when the site adds a feature, changes an analytics setting, or updates a provider. The effective date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be noted on the page.
