GTA 6 price by country, store by store.

GTA 6 costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the United States. Every other store region carries its own number, because the platform sets a local price list and tax is handled differently from country to country. The table below holds 16 store rows across 15 markets, read from the store listed on each row on November 6, 2026.

The table

The sticker price in 15 store regions.

Each row is the local price in local currency, with the store that printed it. Mexico has two rows because the two stores list different numbers. Nothing here is converted to dollars: a conversion needs an exchange rate, a date, and the fee your card adds, so the local number is the only one you can compare with a checkout page.

Checked November 6, 2026, the day this page was written. The eurozone row covers the countries that use the euro, because the stores list one price for all of them. Turkey is in the table in lira, with both editions listed on both stores.

Sources: the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store, and Rockstar's page for Grand Theft Auto VI. The US prices come from Rockstar's June 2026 announcement. Most rows combine both store listings; Mexico and the two Gulf markets use the store named on each row.

Why the numbers differ

Why the same game has 15 prices.

A platform store prices by country, not by exchange rate. Sony and Microsoft each keep a price list for every store region, and the publisher agrees to it. The euro price is a local list price, not a live conversion of the dollar price, and it will not move the day the dollar does. It moves when the store and the publisher decide to move it.

Tax is the second difference, and it is the one that changes what you actually pay. A US sticker of $79.99 is quoted before sales tax, so a buyer in New York adds 8.875 percent at checkout and a buyer in Oregon adds nothing. A Berlin sticker of 79.99 euros includes 19 percent VAT, and the same 79.99 in Amsterdam includes 21 percent. The two numbers look related and are not the same kind of number.

Currency comes next. When a publisher sets a price in a currency that later falls, the local price stays where it was until someone reprices it. A store region can sit well below the US price for a year and then jump in a week, and no Rockstar announcement is involved in either move.

Then there are the ordinary reasons. A holiday sale, a publisher promotion, or a store coupon can take 20 percent off one edition in one market and leave the other market alone. Retailers discount the box when they have stock to clear. A card issued outside the billing country can add a foreign transaction fee of 1 to 3 percent that appears on no sticker.

The honest summary is that no single price is "the" GTA 6 price. There is the price your store charges your account, and every other row is context for it.

Platforms

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

In most markets both stores list the same Standard and Ultimate price. Mexico is the exception: the PlayStation Store lists before IVA, Xbox lists the higher pair, and the checkout totals land close. The two Gulf rows use PlayStation Store prices because the Xbox listings differ. There is no console-exclusive edition, no last-gen version, and no cross-generation upgrade to pay for. Outside Mexico, a PS5 buyer and an Xbox buyer in the same country pay the same sticker for the same content.

The differences sit around the price. A digital pre-order on the PlayStation Store placed by November 19 adds one month of GTA+, and Microsoft lists no matching offer. Sony and Microsoft also handle preorder cancellations under different rules, so the cost of changing your mind is not the same on the two consoles.

The Series S gets the same build at the same price. Nobody has announced a cheaper version for the weaker console. Rockstar confirmed in August 2026 that both consoles run at 30 fps at launch, which is the same frame rate on the cheapest console and the most expensive one.

A PS5 code and an Xbox code behave differently once they leave the store, and that difference matters more than the price gap between the consoles. The next two sections cover it.

The box

The box is Standard. The Ultimate is digital.

The only physical copy goes on sale on November 12, and it is the Standard Edition at the local Standard price. A shop can discount it, and some will, but the discount is the shop's decision rather than a price Rockstar set. There is no boxed Ultimate Edition anywhere in the table.

The box holds a download code and no disc, so there is nothing to install from and nothing to resell once the code is redeemed. That also means the PS5 Digital Edition and the disc console buy the same thing, and neither one gets a price break for having a drive.

Rockstar has not published an upgrade that turns a Standard licence into the Ultimate Edition. If the extra vehicles, shops, and two side missions matter to you, the $20 is a checkout decision rather than a later purchase.

Across borders

Buying from another region.

Prices differ enough that readers ask whether a cheaper store region is worth the trouble. The answer depends on the console. Sony ties a PS5 voucher to the country of the PSN account, so a code sold in India will not redeem on a UK account, and changing the country on an existing account is not an option Sony offers. A different country means a different account and a separate library.

Microsoft does not region-lock Xbox codes. The Series X|S is region-free and a code applies to whichever account redeems it, which is why an imported Xbox code usually works. Account country, store region, and the payment method on file still follow Microsoft's rules, and a code sold for one store can still fail on another.

Both platforms require accurate account details. A false address used to reach a cheaper store can get an account restricted, and support can refuse a refund on a purchase made that way. This page explains the rules and does not walk you through breaking them.

The store region also sets the unlock hour, so an account in a different region opens the game on that region's clock. The unlock table lists 19 of them in UTC.

The rest of the bill

What the sticker does not include.

Sales tax in the US, GST or HST in Canada, and any foreign transaction fee sit outside the number in the table. So does storage. The download is 212 GB, and a console without room for it needs an SSD or an expansion card before November 10, which costs more than the $20 gap between the editions.

GTA+ is optional and separate on both consoles. Rockstar has said neither edition carries microtransactions at launch, and no season pass or expansion has been announced, so the sticker is the whole price for the content that exists on day one.

A price is a snapshot. Every figure on this page was true on November 6, 2026. Stores reprice without notice, so treat the table as a dated record and your own store page as the price.

Questions

Prices, answered.

How much does GTA 6 cost in South Africa?

R 1,499 for the Standard Edition and R 1,899 for the Ultimate Edition on both the South African PlayStation Store and the South African Xbox Store, checked on November 6, 2026. VAT is already inside those two numbers, so the charge at checkout matches the sticker. A South African account pays in rand and does not take a currency conversion fee from the card issuer.

How much does GTA 6 cost in India?

₹5,999 for Standard and ₹7,499 for Ultimate in the Indian stores, checked on November 6, 2026. GST is inside those numbers and the store bills in rupees, so the card adds no conversion charge. The rupee figure is the one to compare with the Indian store, not with a dollar price. It is worth a second look on launch week, because a repricing lands faster than a currency move.

How much does GTA 6 cost in Brazil?

R$449.90 for Standard and R$549.90 for Ultimate on the Brazilian PlayStation Store and Xbox Store, checked on November 6, 2026. Taxes are included, and a Brazilian account is billed in reais, so there is no exchange-rate step at checkout. The Ultimate Edition adds R$100 to the Standard price, a jump of about 22 percent. The gap is not the same percentage in every row.

How much does GTA 6 cost in Mexico?

MX$1,292.24 for Standard and MX$1,619.83 for Ultimate on the PlayStation Store, before 16% IVA. Xbox lists MX$1,499 and MX$1,879. Once IVA is added, the PS5 pair lands near the Xbox pair, so the gap is mostly how each store displays tax. Checked on November 6, 2026.

How much does GTA 6 cost in Turkey?

₺3,999 for Standard and ₺4,999 for Ultimate on both the Turkish PlayStation Store and the Turkish Xbox Store, checked on November 6, 2026. Both editions are listed. The store page does not itemize VAT, so treat the lira figure as the number to compare with the Turkish checkout rather than as a dollar equivalent.

Which country has the cheapest GTA 6?

No single answer holds for long. A sticker can look low in one currency and high in another, and tax, card fees, and account rules change the real cost. This table does not convert prices to dollars. The cheapest copy you can actually use is still the one your own store sells, unless you already hold an account in the cheaper region.

How much is the boxed copy?

The box costs the same as the digital Standard Edition: $79.99 in the US, £69.99 in the UK, and the local Standard price in every other market in the table. The box holds a download code and no disc, and there is no boxed Ultimate Edition. A shop can discount the box, and the discount is the shop's decision, not a price Rockstar set.

Does GTA 6 cost more on PS5 than on Xbox?

Usually no. Most markets show the same Standard and Ultimate price in both stores. Mexico is the exception: the PlayStation Store lists before IVA, Xbox lists the higher pair, and the checkout totals land close. The two Gulf rows use PlayStation Store prices because the Xbox listings differ. Turkey now has both store prices, so it sits in one row. The other differences sit outside the sticker price: a digital PlayStation pre-order placed by November 19 adds a month of GTA+, Xbox has no matching offer, and the two stores handle refunds and preorder cancellations under different rules.
